Directions to FPL

From the West (Spring Green)

Take Hwy 14 through Middleton. It will turn into University Avenue. Stay on University Avenue until you reach Campus Drive. Stay in the right hand lane for Old University Avenue. Go to the second stoplight on Old University Avenue and turn left onto Walnut Street (a gas station is at this corner). Go under the bridge and take the second turn to the left at the sign for Forest Products Laboratory. This is Gifford Pinchot Drive. FPL is straight ahead. Go to the end of the drive and around the circle to the front of the building where there is visitor parking.

From the West (Baraboo)

From Hwy 12 take the University Avenue/Highway 14 exit and head East into Middleton. Stay on University Avenue until you reach Campus Drive. Stay in the right hand lane for Old University Avenue. Go to the second stoplight on Old University Avenue and turn left onto Walnut Street (a gas station is at this corner). Go under the bridge and take the second turn to the left at the sign for Forest Products Laboratory. This is Gifford Pinchot Drive. FPL is straight ahead. Go to the end of the drive and around the circle to the front of the building where there is visitor parking.

Driving from out of town

From the East (Milwaukee), take I-94 to I-90 West (heading south). From I-90, take US 12/18 West (exit 142A).

From the Southeast (Chicago), take Northwest Tollway to I-90. Take I-90 to Madison. From I-90, take US 12/18 West (exit 142A).

From US 12/18, take the Park Street exit. Follow Park Street north 2.5 miles to University Avenue. Turn left onto University Avenue and stay in the left lane (the right lanes merge into Campus Drive) and continue on University Avenue to the stoplight at Walnut Street. Turn right on Walnut Street, drive under the overpass, and look to the left for the "Forest Service--Forest Products Laboratory" sign. Turn left onto Gifford Pinchot Drive.

Driving from the Airport

Exit the Dane County Regional Airport (northeast Madison). Turn left at second light onto Packers Avenue. Packers Avenue merges into Johnson Street, and Johnson Street then merges into East Gorham. After 1.5 miles, East Gorham merges into University Avenue. Stay in the left lane (the right lanes merge into Campus Drive) and continue on University Avenue to the stoplight at Walnut Street. Turn right on Walnut Street, drive under the overpass, and look to the left for the "Forest Service--Forest Products Laboratory" sign. Turn left onto Gifford Pinchot Drive.
