Members of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Related Sciences (MANRRS) recently visited the Forest Products Laboratory to learn about topics ranging from bioenergy, nanotechnology, and natural pharmaceuticals, to termites, fungi, and even graduate school.

Students had the opportunity to meet with FPL researchers, tour the facility, and learn about government employment. Several FPL researchers shared their personal experiences of transitioning from student trainee programs to full-time Federal employment.

MANRRS is a national society that promotes multicultural awareness in natural resources and related sciences while providing a support system for students of underrepresented groups.
